Snell Roundhand Poster

The goal of this project was to create a poster that captures the essential characteristics of the Snell Roundhand typeface.

Snell Roundhand was created in 1966 by designer Matthew Carter, who drew inspiration from Charles Snell's roundhand script. The ornamental nature of the font stems from it's use of newly developed photocomposition methods of the time. Today's usages of the font primarily include event invitations and personal uses, which guided my poster's design. The fluid design is reminiscent of a wedding invitation and leans into the decorative style of Snell Roundhand.
